Christian Siriano For Payless

Similar to Rodarte a couple of seasons ago. I still can't wait. Especially for those patent ones on the second row. I am hoping they will come in black.
Coming this Fall at Payless.

What Is True Luxury?

Image: NY Times

"Luxury is not how much you can buy. Luxury is the knowledge of how to do it right, how to take the time to understand and choose well. Luxury is about buying the right thing."

Tagged!

My first tag, Yay!!
I was tagged by Red.Door.Red

Tag task 1
Show a picture of your desk.

Okay, so I couldn't really take a picture of my desk because my camera is broken. So I drew it.
Basically those crazy lines is just a lot of crap that surrounds my poorly drawn laptop!

Tag task 2
Open the 6th picture folder on your computer, open the 6th photo and blog it.

This is the Himegyaru style also known as Princess Gals. At the moment its really trendy in Japan and I was quite obsessed with it for a while. But this style is so high maintence, that I just couldn't pull it off. It's based off the Marie Antoinette and Paris Hilton lifestyle. Basically you are a spoilled princess. It's definitely a unique style and I love the hair, but wayyy to much work. And for the prices of the clothes, definitely not worth it since its mostly a trend style.

I tag anyone who wants to do this!
Have fun :)

Holy Perfect Coat

Uniquely structured in a classic color.
Really beautiful :)

Sara Berman

Sara Berman is a fashion company that is both sophisticated and sexy. The pieces are can range from frilly ruffles to leopard prints and still manage to look amazing individually or worn together. But Sara Berman stays feminine with beautiful trim braiding, statement bows, and ruffles on her accessories. I am absolutely in love with this company and their team of three talented women (including Sara Berman herself). Talk about girl power!
You can find their items on various UK websites such as AsosMy Wardrobe, and their website shop. In the US they've started hitting Nordstroms.
I also really wanted that black frilly bag, but its sold out everywhere!!!!!

Sexually Laced

Image: The Purse Forum

Although I'm not a fan of Erin Wasson, this dress is killer. And she managed to make it look sexually appropriate (aside for the face it was a Teen Vogue event).

The Briefcase

I love this briefcase.
I love the number of colors it comes in: black, blue, brown, cherry, green, orange, pink, red, and yellow.
And the simplicity of the design is just really tasteful especially considering how practical this bag can be (as it also comes with a "shoulder strap", which I hope can be a messenger also). A really great stylish and practical bag for both men and women.

Controversy; Did The Internet Ruin Fashion?

During the summer in my fashion illustration class, I overheard a conversation about how fashion hasn't really evolved since the grunge movement in the early 90's. The internet was to blame because it gave an all access pass to fashion from almost any era in time. And nothing new could come out of it because everyone keeps being influenced from the past or trying to bring back whats already done.
Honestly, I couldn't help but agree. Although fashion does produce really beautiful articles of clothing, theres nothing so far that is moving it along. And you can see designers trying to juice out the past fashions.
The world wide web has brought a lot to fashion in terms of blogging and connecting with others, but has it killed creativity?

The designer of TSE can "drape" me all he wants.

I'm also in love with the hoods.

Dainty Vs. Badass

Dainty

The dainty style is very sweet and innocent. They are shy and just so adorable with their shades of pale pinks and pastel colors. When you see them, you could just imagine yourself in a fairytale.  Normally people who wear the dainty style are equally how they look: cute, shy, and positive. Even if they don't stand tall they are adorned attention with their positive energy and cute giggles. They wear accessories with ruffle and lacey details and stay classic by wearing pearls. When they walk, its like they are floating because sometimes it just seems surreal. I really love this style because its just so whimsical and fun, but it seems like  a lot of maintence.

Vs.

Badass

Badass to me, is someone who exudes power. Whether its the way they speak, walk down the street, or the way they dress, you know you can't mess with them. They are the executive no matter where they go or what they do. They command attention effortlessly even if they are 5'6 with 5 inch heels. A lot has to go on I think with a badass style. Powerful silhouettes, neutral powerful colors, sky high heels and of course, the badass attitude. I think there really is no for sure definition of the badass attitude. The bad ass could be a bitch, risky, or the sweetest person you've ever met. But you just know when you see them walking down the street.

These styles are polar opposites but equally on the same level of fashion. Personally, I consider myself a badass, but I really love the qualities of the dainty style because a lot goes into it.

Which one do you consider yourself to be?
